Cascade Christmas Lights

The show is powered by a PC and Xlights Software, Falcon and LOR hardware.

The Computer talk to the controllers out in the yard and turns the lights on, off, or a variety of fades, twinkle and shimmers. Our show has many of these controllers networked together to keep the show synchronized.

Songs are “sequenced” in software much like movie editing software. There is a timeline, and when something happens in a song, you can turn a light on or off, or make it fade slowly or even shimmer.

The software in the computer allows us to synchronize music with the lights controlled down to the beat. Each song takes about 10-15 hours to synchronize to the lights.

Viewers can listen to the music on our low power FM radio station, tuned to 100.9. All music and voice-overs are broadcast on the Cascade Radio, 100.9FM.

Our Radio voice-overs were done by Demented Elf Productions. They are also the voice of Will E. Melt. They did a fantastic job on our spots and are awesome to work with.
